Blake is a new school that started with low-moral teachers and continued with low-moral ethics and policies. Favoritism is rampant.
I feel sorry for the private school students used to individual attention and educated teachers who cared and knew what they were teaching. I came from a private k-8 and decided I wanted to "try" public school.
Honestly, if you're a parent and want what's best for them, keep your child away from Blake. The teachers are superficial wannabes-that-never-were and will join in on bullying your child. I experienced it first hand. I was a transfer who didn't know anyone and girls started "checking" (public school for shoving you into lockers) in the hallways (with video-cameras) and teachers joined in on the exclusion of "unpopular" students from being in the yearbook at all to public humiliation during class time. I would overhear as well as be told directly I "didn't deserve to be in the yearbook" by both the girls that for whatever reason hated new students as well as the teachers in charge of yearbook.
Honestly, this school started out with a theater teaching sleeping with a student. And I doubt it's progressed. It's unhealthy and a poor choice.

a. The academics at Blake High School are on the rise. This school is newrer, but it has some of the best up and coming students and teachers. Stiudents from Blake are accepted to many different major universities such as Cornell, Brown and even Harvard.
b. This is a school of the arts and therefore it has some of the best music, visual and performing arts programs in the county. The stage compnay, despite its bad repuattion on this less than par website, is one of the best in the county due to its highly trained staff, its amazing production quality and its unity as a group.
c.Every year Blake is recieving awards for many different sports and academic achievments. In the past we have gone to states in Basbeall, Basketball and have won states for gymnastics. Also, our It's Academic Team has gone to finls and has won great esteem for the school.
d. Since Blake is only 9 years old the facilities are all very good. They are also well kept up by the amazing maitinence staff.
e. Parents can become involved if they want to in the booster club, the pta and many other groups in the school. It really is up to the parent to decide how much inovolvment they want to contribute to the school, but there are always ways for them to get involved if they want to.

I don't know who would post a review saying that the Blake Stage Company is a disgrace to the school. That is ridiculous and definitely not true. Blake is a great school. My child is very involved with the stage company and is upset and unhappy with the previous post. WE STRONGLY DISAGREE with the negative comments about the Blake Stage Company and would recommend Blake to anyone.
