School Reviews

Allendale is definetly one of the top schools in Oakland. I was a homeschool parent until my daughter reached 4th grade and I was very leary of public schools. Allendale changed my attitude and helped me see that there are alot of caring and dedicated teachers, administrators, coaches, in Oakland Public Schools. The Principal, Mr. Thomasberger, was awarded Principal of the Year. And all the coaches go way beyond to make sure the students are successful. They have a wide array of FREE afterschool programs like GATE, a newspaper, sports, dance, etc. I highly recommmend this school to any parent.
