IMHO the schools my son attended before CSD-R were unbelievably worse. I don't agree with your assessment of this school. My son did not start attending CSD-R until 2017 when he was 13. We moved to Southern California BECAUSE of CSD-R. Not only is my son deaf, but he also has ASD. No schools in Nevada, Utah, or Missouri ever taught him ASL, let alone how to read or write; they simply passed him on. They didn't want to take the time to teach him. CSD-R took that challenge. Because of starting school late, my son has to attend school for one more year to earn his diploma, although he has completed all the state requirements for a Certificate of Completion. I can understand why your scores say student size is flat, as well as teachers, CSD-R may cover a good area of land, yet it does specialize in working with deaf students, blind-deaf, and deaf-autistic students. Not all schools want to put forth that much effort, except for schools the size of CSD-R. I am proud of what CSD-R has done for my son and what he has achieved because of CSD-R. I'm glad it is a smaller school because his teacher interaction is much better. This school cares about its students and is willing to try to help them reach their goals and dreams.
