The current structure is a early 20th Century building with a center wooden stairway leading to many levels in the building. The center wooden stairway is the main egress route from the many levels of the building and has several patch work repairs. There are no fire escape ladders from any window above ground level. There are no "Ladder Trucks" currently employed at local Fire Department. This building is occupied by a majority of students under the age of 6. The local Fire Chief has stated directly to my husband, that he has not been invited to visit the building in more than 10 years as it is inspected by a State Official outside his Fire Department. There is no local "Official" fire plan for this building (with a majority of children under the age of 6) for an emergency above ground level, with the main egress route being a wooden stairway located in the center of the building, other than calling for support for a "Ladder Truck" from Fire Departments outside the community.
