School Reviews

Wanted to love this school, tried for 3 yrs. My student entered the school above grade level reading and left the school below grade level. If your student is an average learner this school might work for them. If your student is above average or a special needs learner you would most likely be better off elsewhere. It was a fight to get what my student needed to learn on his/her I.E.P. and once the school finally agreed after a 1yr of meetings, little was done to actually meet his needs other than have it written on paper. There is high turn over and one specialist to serve all the special needs learners in each school section (1 for high school/ middle school and 1 for elementary) my student was lost in the shuffle frequently and called lazy by two different principals. Twice they began the school year with no certified teacher in the classroom and it was also a frequent occurrence to have teachers quit during Christmas/Spring Break, again leaving no certified teacher in the classroom. We were told it would benefit our student to put them in a high cost tutoriing program not affiliated with the school to allow them to catch up. If our family had the money to pay for tutoring, we would have just put him/her in a private school that actually does have a low student/teacher ratio and would be willing to work with my student. Simply put the school gave up on my student long before we gave up on the school.
