School Reviews

We LOVE Hulstrom. My daughter has grown so much in the few years she has been at the school. We debated on StarGate or our local elementary but are so grateful we choose Hulstrom. Our daughter has learned so much, and they allow students with advanced skills to be gathered into groups with kids at the same level. The community feel is wonderful at that school, and I would recommend it to anyone in the area.

Hulstrom has been an incredible learning community for both my kids. We could not have asked for a better environment to challenge them and prepare them for high school while catering to their specific GT needs all along the way. There is flexibility for unique needs and differentiation for students that need it. Each of my kids had very different needs and were strong academically in different areas where I felt they each were able to thrive with unique opportunities. Our experience with the teachers was from kindergarten through 8th grade was incredible strong — whether the teachers were working to enhance executive functioning skills or helping to navigate social emotional areas to pushing my kids to explore areas of interest — they were always available, approachable and willing to work through whatever my kids were facing. I really appreciate the individualized approach. While Hulstrom is a smaller school, we never felt it lacked opportunities - whether extracurricular activities, academic advanced programs, specials, trips and travel and so much more!

Don't be fooled this school was great when my kids started but has been on a strong decline for the last two years. Loads of good teachers have been leaving the school for the last three years.
