HWES is a school for the Arts and Sciences. It is a blend of a Magnet school and Advanced Placement school along with regular courses, therefore, you have dance, orchestra, and art being taught along with English, Math and Social Studies. The students are truly well rounded while they are being taught here. There are also plenty of other after school clubs and activities to choose from. My daughter (4th grade, AP) loves the school, as her teacher is wonderful, and the staff is fantastic.
