Since my son entered LeTort this year, I have been thrilled with his growth. He has been challenged in all areas, especially reading. The students are able to participate in specials including art, health, PE and music, although I do wish there were more after school enrichment programs. The building is amazing with its history and helps the school feel like a real community. The teachers are dedicated and passionate, and parents attempt to reach out to the community.

Test scores are strong, and the staff is outstanding. My kids are enjoying both the academics and the music, art, etc. Awesome garden out front. Some people do not like the older building, but to me it has charm. Parent involvement is limited, but growing.

Letort Elementary School is a wonderful school with a great learning environment! The teachers and staff are friendly, caring, knowledgeable and willing to do what it takes to make sure your children succeed! The teachers go out of there way to find extracurricular activities, like swimming lessons at the YMCA, during the school day for the benefit of your children. What an awesome experience! I only wish we weren't moving, with the military, and my children could finish their elementary education at Letort!

Teachers are young, smart, dedicated, and passionate.
The principal has a vision and a plan to get the school where she wants it.
Parent involvement is the weak link - but improving. When parent involvement gets into place the school will make a quantum leap!
We are a military family and were somewhat concerned about the school and its reputation - we are VERY happy with our decision. Our twins excelled with their exceptional kindergarten teacher - the school clearly has NOT gotten a fair shake.
