We are new to the program(a couple of months in) but thus far it has gone well and we love our team of providers. Despite the 21 to 1 ratio we still feel very involved and our special needs are met on a regular basis.

My Daughter has excelled since I enrolled her in this school. She went from a bashful, skittish child to a confident happy child. She was severely bullied in her old school and she had been physically abused by her bully as she fractured her clavicle, fractured her wrist, and chipped several teeth. Her teacher singled her out because of her lack of confidence. She was terrified to go to school and cried every morning before school as she begged not to go to school. Nothing was done, even after the many complaints, police reports, and conferences. Finally, she'd had enough and beat up her bully she was suspended for defending herself. I enrolled her in MGLVA. Within several months she was happy, laughing and joking. She was reading to me when she could hardly read before. She was excited about school. She went from not reading, low grades, and detachment from fear to confident reading, higher grades, and making friends. Her teachers are friendly, helpful, and kind. My Daughter loves school now! She is understanding the work and is excited to do the assignments. I couldn't have asked for a better school than MGLVA. It's an amazing school. It has an amazing staff. My Daughter will never go to any other school as it had done wonders for my child.

My daughter enrolled in MGLVA at inception. I can not thank them enough. The K12 program has allowed my child to excel. She is the master of her schoolwork. I can view the materials and assistance as needed, or contact the teacher for help. The staff at MGVLA is caring, wanting to assist, and has my child's education at heart. Open communication is a must. Unlike her old brick and mortar school, I can call, email, or attend office hours with any of her teachers whenever we have a question. The principals are also available and willing to listen. Solutions are offered if you openly communicate. Now, the curriculum moves along. Like any online business, computer issues pop up. A student can fall behind if they are complacent. MGVLA has given my daughter the opportunity to dual enroll in our local university and tech program. Her school day starts with a cup of coffee in hand, the cat on her lap, in her comfy clothes, cuddled up on the coach or her bed, laptop in hand. No snow days, no worrying about the latest shooter, no COVID exposures, it is learning in bliss. Good study habits allow her the time at night to attend hands-on activities: sports, dance, volunteering. Online school isn't for everyone, but it is a blessing for many, like us. If your child is motivated, if you are done with the bullying, if you as the parent are willing to take an active role in your child's education, then you will be pleasantly surprised. This is not the usual Christian based home school program. This is a public school with the usual public school testing requirements. In other words, I do not pick the curriculum, nor do I pay for it. I am not the teacher, but a Learning Coach. I do not have to know everything, I merely assist my child and take daily attendance. I am involved without shouldering the entire program, as many of my Christian home school Moms do. And, with careful planning, we are able to join in our Christian Home School families on their field trips too. MGLVA is the best of both worlds.

This school will unenroll your students without proper notification, hang up on you when you call with complaints and underachieve in every expectation. Don't enroll your children?
