I am a 8th grade student at Northwood middle school and this is the worst school I have ever been to I have been to 4 middle schools due to moving, but this is the worst the teachers are rude and threatening the administration are nice to the ones who are good and sweet and preppy but if you are bad or you have bad grades or you do not fit with the school ways you get treated very differently this school has made me very sad and depressed, I hate going to this school every day don't get me wrong some teachers are nice but most of them are far from nice I feel as a student I should not be treated like this

I've been here for around 2 years and I wish that they would take their job seriously.Don't get me wrong there are good teachers but the bad outweigh the good.If I was planning on sending my kid here I'd definitely think twice

Not reccomended for certain types of levels . I went to this school a year ago and this school is indeed to be very under go with the money .They also shown that they've had money issues . But , the involvement of parents is quite high at sometimes, very supportive with PTA . I give Availability of Music , art , sports ,etc. a 3 out of 5 rating because there is a lack in some of these activities . Music/Chorus is a great i give that 5 star rating but as far as band goes i do not give a good rating .. 1.5 is as far as i can give . The reason why is because there is a lack of learning in Band class .Very noisy most of the or all the time .The students refuse to learn at sometimes and cause disruption almost everyday when i was in that class . The school instruments are indeed awful . They are in fair to poor condition and should not be played at all within any circumstances . The instruments should either be a. disposed or recycled or b. put up for school auction . So if you play a school instrument would'nt reccomend you be in band anymore unless you are willing to switch to another instrument . The Quality of Academics are 4.5 to 5 rating . Facilities are ok in some cases . Academic of atheletics are 4.5 ouit of 5 in rating they're pretty good. But sadly the school has over 1000 students which is kind of overboard . The normal maximum of kids that are in middle school is 500 to 700 depeneding on where you stay and what school you go to . So in my case i do not reccomend this school .
