Widespread bullying. One teacher bullied a child during his Graduation ceremony in front of the cameras. While on the podium, the Lead Teacher of Oakland Elementary school mispronounced one student''s name. Instead of acting appropriately in such a situation, she decided to give that student a loud shout out in a comical way. Then she immediately comically shouted out another student''s name who wasn''t even on her list. These are her words one to one from the video: I do have to say J** B**-, there he is. That poor child! Every day he comes in the hall I say his name like that, Mmm- He loves it though, I think. I do! Ha, ha! This should be considered bullying! Not only has the teacher used the Graduation to tease the child one last time, she admitted to doing that on a consistent basis through the school year. She even had a classical Bully''s excuse: ''He loves it though, I think. I do! Ha, ha!'' We will never believe that the Principal of Oakland didn''t know about this bullying. The teachers in Oakland Elementary cannot say their student''s names after a year of teaching them. How can such teachers engage with the students? How are the teachers referring to their students during the school year, or do they just ignore them the whole year? Charleston County School Board member pulled her child out from that school. Even the Constituent board members don't take their children to Oakland. These facts tell you about this school louder than any good reviews here. CCSD School Board Members don''t care.
