Summerour is a school that cares, from high expectations for students' academic achievement, to caring for students' social and emothional growth. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, the focus is on delevloping a well-rounded student with knowledge of world issues, foreign languages, community volunteerism, perserving the environment, and critical thinking. Bell to bell instruction is a must, however, a focus on the arts only helps to complete the circle. The school band is steps above other middle school bands, and the inclusion of art, orchestra, drama, chorus, computer science, journalism, etc. is the icing on the cake.
