I went there for 6 years and I did not like it there because we have to where you in forms and I Am going to Leslie middle school and I like it here because we can wear whatever we won't and we have more stuff to do here and it is fun.

All though the school has small class sizes, there are a lot of politics going on in the school that trickle down to hurt the students. Several teachers have been let go due to declining enrollment and the choices of which teachers to release have not been to the schools advantage. There is no library, full music program, and limited lunch selections. The teachers do care and work with their students, but much of the academics are below what they should be.

The administration at this school is horrible. The secretary, principal, and teachers all gossip about every family. Not recommended at all.

We went to White Pine for 3 months before we decided to remove our son. Because he had difficulty adapting to the very structured environment (of Young 5s -- not even Kindergarten), there was a continuous suggestion that there was something wrong with him. In retrospect, I believe that in part, we as parents were not expecting enough from him, but I also believe that the school failed him. Now that he is attending a new school (with better MEAP scores, by the way), he is doing much better. In fact, his new teacher says he is a stellar student.
