School Reviews

Williamsville South was like my second home for what felt like a long time. I walked in as a freshman, eager to get it done and over with. As I walked away the day of the graduation ceremony with my diploma in hand, I truly wished we could have just one more year together in that building. Do not misunderstand - I am ready and excited to see what's next. But I loved South. And, weird is this sounds, South loves back. It always does, without fail. The teachers are the nicest bunch you'll ever see, and even the accessory staff (librarians, lunch monitors, secretaries) are a great few. There is an enormous range of freedom for what a student wishes to do, be it the path of writing, poetry, athletics, the realm of music, languages, or simply enjoyment and relaxation. There is a plethora of things to be done. Things, I think, those who miss out on them, even if it felt right then, are things they would miss having.I will criticize that South places far too much money in athletics and not nearly enough in academics. But this is all I can say negatively.I pray future generations can have an experience like I did. Memories of things like getting bullied, getting an F on a test, or spilling your lunch all over last a few days. Memories of the love you'll feel from school, the love you'll get from your friends and the love I would hope you return - those memories last a lifetime.
