My child transferred in her senior year from Yamhill Carlton. The difference is day and night. Where there was no academic support at Yamhill, there has been an abundance at Century. My child takes prescription medicine during the day, at Century, they monitor it closely and are sure she takes it as prescribed, while at Yamhill HS (OREGON( she'd have most of the bottle left at the end of the month. Century is on top of wanting to help kids do their best and provide support.

I would recommend this school, I''ve been fully included in every activity and fully supported by all teachers I''ve encountered. The softball team won the state championships in 2011 and the Marching band is 2nd largest in the state. The colorguard is the biggest team in the northwest aswell. The arts program is fantastic, we had a fundraiser for children in Hades and adopted 3 kids based on the money the children of the school raised. I''ve never felt excluded or threatened here. And our graduation rate is 98%.

I would not recommend this school because school staff are not trained properly on how to deal with school conflicts/resolutions. Students are not treated equally. Offensive and cross-dressing is allowed which offends conservative parents as myself. Student Handbook dictates appropriate wear and they choose to ignore their own rules.Parental input is ignored. Also, when parent/teacher conferences are held in the evenings, my husband & I went to specified classrooms as indicated and MOST of the teachers are not there and have left EARLY before conferences end! Counselors need improvement as well. I would look for another school where parents and students are treated w/more respect.
